Thanksgiving! 感謝祭！

Well I'm back at home. The first week back was Thanksgiving in America. 実家に帰って来ました。最初の週は感謝祭でした！

Imai san 今井さん

Imai san came to visit before I headed back to the Americas. Great friend of the Yoshidas and investigating the church right now. Hatsumi's mother and Yupi chan are also in the picture below. 僕がアメリカに帰る前に、今井さんが訪問してくれました。吉田家の友達で、教会のことについて勉強しています。初美のお母さんとゆぴちゃんも入っています。

Dharma ダルマ

I have more information somewhere but I introduce you to a little bit. The other day I came here to see the colored leaves (very popular Japanese tradition). There were many dharma dolls. もっと情報はどっかにありますが、今は少し紹介しましょう。この前、初美の両親と一緒にこのところに紅葉を見に来ました。ダルマがたくさんありました。

You can buy the dharma doll heads here. What you do is make a goal and fill in one of the eyes. After completing the goals you fill in the other day and send it back to this place. Every year the people here burn all of the dolls at a festival. ここでダルマを買います。目標を作って、人目を入れます。目評を達成したら、もう一目を入れて、ここに送ります。毎年ここで送られたダルマをある祭りで焼きます！

A bell  鐘

 A man by the name of Dharma apparently zazened (kneeling in meditation) for 8 years--so long that his legs and arms fell off. This must be the 4th year... :)  ダルマという人が8年間座禅をして、腕と足がなくなりました。これは4年目ぐらいかな。。。

Very impressive!  とても感動しました！

The dorm! It is lovingly named "The Yellow Bird" for Grandpa Petersen. 寮！お爺さんのために「ザ・イエロー・バード」（黄色い鳥）を名付けました。

That phone is the famous pink phone from which I made first contact with Hatsumi after she gave me her information! あの電話は、あの有名なピンク電話。この電話で初美と最初連絡できました！

The last Friday I was in Japan, Mr. Ikeda (left) and Mr. Imakuma (right) from the dorm took me out to dinner. 最後の金曜日の夜、寮に住んでいる池田さん（左）と今熊さん（右）と一緒に食事しました。

Last day at NBK NBKの最後の日

1Well it has finally happened. My last day at NBK has come and gone. I thought I'd share a few pictures to commemorate. 信じられませんが、NBKでの最後の日がやってきました。いくつかの写真を見せましょう。

Here is the front of NBK with the entrance to the main office and the Art Museum. Many art exhibitions and concerts are held here.  ここはNBKの入り口で、大きな事務所と美術館があります。美術館には毎年たくさんの芸術の展示会やコンサートが開催されています。

This is a very important road. It is where I played catch with other employees at lunch time. この道は大切な道です。ここで他の社員と一緒にお昼の時に、よくキャッチボールをしてきました。

The car in the front right is Mr. Yokoyama's car. He drove me to NBK nearly every morning. 前の右川白い車は横山さんの車。大体毎日彼は仕事まで乗せて下さいました。

This is the group of new employees with whom I ate with nearly every day and where. On Friday's Mohammad would join us for lunch and lively conversations. 大体毎日他の新入社員と一緒にお昼をここで食べました。金曜日はモーハマドも来て、楽しい話をしながら一緒に食べました。

This is where I would do English classes. I would switch up doing it in various chairs and desks as I felt like it. ここで英会話をしました。気分によっていろんな椅子と机を使いしました。

This is a very secret classroom spot where I conducted special classes for English like Juggling English class... ここは秘密の所で、特別な英会話レッスンをしました。ジャグリング英会話など:)

Every day for 3 to 3:10 was break time and these nice ladies would come and give me treats. 毎日3時から3時10分までは休憩の時間でした。いつもお姉さん達と一緒に時間を過ごして、おやつを貰ったりしました。

Below was when I announced I was engaged and asked if anyone wanted to see any pictures. There was a mad rush to the computer. 下は、婚約を発表した時で「写真を見ますか」と聞いたら、皆ガーとパソコンにやってきたところ。楽しかったです。
